HOME

As I look around this surreal landscape
With its constantly changing shape
Ever vigilant for dangers lurking there
Not wanting to be caught unaware

Getting desperate to find a home
So that we don't live in a dome
I've been sent to find us a place
That will give us growing space

Trying to find the perfect planet
Where we can live without threat
Hope that this will be the right one
I'll land by the light of the setting sun

Three of its many moon are rising
And the colors are very surprising
Wind blowing through purple trees
Carrying green dust in the breeze

Strange creatures looking like rocks
Making loud noises like ticking clocks
Other creatures with great long teeth
Fat horns above and spikes beneath

Not a hospitable place to stay alive
I don't think anyone could survive
Now to leave and give my report
This planet comes up very short

Maybe the blue planet will be better
With all the clouds it must be wetter
Know it's inhabited by people like us
Making it easy to blend without a fuss
