LIVING A LIE

I wonder where you are tonight

With another in the moonlight?

Even though I told you that I don't care

This thought is something I cannot bear

I can lie to you with lips and mind

But love in my heart you will find

Feelings I have for you are wrong

For to someone else I do belong

Free to love you I would like to be

You are the whole the world to me

If only we could find some way

I would fly to meet you in Calais

But too many others would be hurt

That is something we should avert

I will love you until the day I die

Yet it's so difficult living this lie

Pretending everything is just fine

Knowing that you can not be mine

My heart does forever belong to you

But for now, my love, I must say adieu
