POOR HOST

It's a very poor host who abandons his guests
The impression this leaves is not the best
From him there comes not a single word
No apology or explanation has been heard

About his guests, he doesn't seem to care
Leaving them alone with undue burdens to bear
No place to stay and nothing to eat
Now his guests just call him "cheat"

Those who are his friends are left alone
As though for his sins they can atone
By the group they are by-passed
Sad, alone and an outcast
