SUMMER'S EVE

On a warm summer's evening
In the shade of big oak trees
The sound of laughing children
Echoes on the breeze

We watch as the squirrels
Play chase across the ground
They scamper up the trees
Then quickly leap back down

See fireflies flashing
Blinking off and on
It's a totally different world
From dusk until dawn
