THANKFUL

I am thankful for the gift of each new day
For help and guidance along life's way

For the beauty and bounty of mother earth
The things that fill lives with joy and mirth

For the steadfast loyalty of each good friend
Whose friendships will grow and never end

For those who share in my sorrows and pains
Also the ones who can rejoice in my gains

For the memories of all those I have known
The love and caring each one has shown

For the gifts I've received that I can share
And knowing there's an answer to my prayer

For the peaceful times to let my spirit renew
Knowing whatever comes, I can depend on you
