TRITE WRITE
I wonder if as a writer I will ever mature
If I learn the proper form in which to write
Poetry styles, forms, special nominclature,

And in myself and craft, ever feel secure;
Will the taking of a creative writing class
Eliminate this feeling of being so crass?
Will it keep my words from sounding trite?
So many suggestions on ways to improve,
But at my age, will I ever fit in the groove?
And which is which, of this I'm never sure.
If these are what will make my poems great,
Then simple, trite verses, I'd rather create.
